The home has two adjoining lounges where residents can relax, take part in activities, socialise or watch television. There is often entertainment in the afternoons which residents are free to join at their own will.
The main lounge offers surrounding picturesque views over the River Ure and gardens at Riverside. The lounge areas are tastefully decorated with an aim to feel homely and welcoming. The main lounge also has patio doors which make it accessible to the patio and other garden areas which are widely used in the summer months.
Residents often enjoy ice creams, wine or sherry on the patio during these warmer months. The Dining Room The Dining room provides nutritious meals throughout lunch breakfast and tea times.
Two onsite Chefs provide home cooked fresh meals and tasty baking which has vibrant reviews from residents and family members alike. We source our fruit and vegetables from local award winning Minskip Farm Shop and our Head Chef creates a selection of choices each day to tailor to bespoke diet or individual prefference. Residents are able to chose aspects of their menu and while we have meal times, these are not set in stone. Once again this reflects on our ethos to tailor to ones individual care needs. For example, some of our residents request breakfast in their bedroom at 6.30am, while others may prefer a late breakfast in the dining room at 9.30am.
The dining room is often the social hub at Riverside, where residents can chat and reflect on their day over delicious home cooked food. Bedrooms. We have 22 en-suite bedrooms which are all newly renovated. In an aim to incorporate modern fixtures such as adjustable lighting and bespoke bathrooms, but continue that homely feel. Therefore each room is unique with different finishing touches to give it its own identity. Most rooms offer extensive view over the river Ure and leafy gardens.
